You know those times when you need guidance, when you need support, and you feel like there's no one around you to lean on? We all have moments of weakness. Most times we are strong, but there are times when that strength fails. Those are the times when we need a support group, but it's not everytime we have one. Then we feel alone.
But we shouldn't be. We shouldn't feel alone, we shouldn't feel like there's no one there for us. Because we always have ourselves. We always have that default support group. In us.
We don't need other people to tell us we're doing the right thing, because we wouldn't do the thing we're doing if we don't think it's right. There's uncertainty, sure, but it's up to us to trust in ourselves enough to know that our decisions are good. And if we make mistakes, we know we can take responsibility for them. We know we did what we thought was right during that time. We shouldn't be scared of being wrong. We shouldn't be scared of our own judgments. We should be able to trust in our own decisions enough to not be fully dependent on an external support group.
The most important support group you have is yourself.
So don't bring yourself down. Don't second-guess yourself. Don't be apologetic for your personality. Don't feel guilty for taking some time off for yourself or treating yourself.
Be your own support group.
