The first week of school has ended (more like first two days) after a loooong break. Enrollment was pretty stressful for me. True, I finished mine in three hours, but in those three hours, I was on a roller coaster of emotion;
I found out my enlisted class and a past class isn’t credited in my course, I had to line up (so what else is new) just to cancel the class, while lining up, I was worrying if I’d be able to get another class, I didn’t know if I’d finish the enrollment on time, there was a slight glitch in my admission (which, during that time, felt like a BIG glitch), there was a smaller but equally panic-inducing glitch in my assessment, and, to top everything off, it was raining hard.

But everything went well.
I’m now officially enrolled in some great classes, and I’m keeping on top of things in terms of scheduling and planning.
So here are my must-haves when going to school (aside from, of course, notebooks, pens, course materials, money, and the like):
- Umbrella.The weather in Manila is very unpredictable. It pays to be prepared.
- Planner/Agenda. This is a life saver. There are two main sections in mine: I use the Weekly section to note down important dates for a given day, then I use the Notes (in a separate flip notebook tucked into the back slot) to list down the day’s detailed to-do list. Works like a charm … for now.
- Power bank. I have an iPhone 5c and and iPad. We all know how their batteries are like. This power bank keeps them alive throughout the day. It’s a 20000 mAh one from Randose Manila. It’s quite big and heavy, but the juice it provides is totally worth it. [Side note: I had an interesting time opening it. The best way is to tap it against your hand. The indicator would light up and you’ll know it’s open]
- Spare phone cable. I bought this as a spare for my school bag. That way, I won’t have to worry about accidentally forgetting my phone cable at home after my nightly charge.
